US Critical Materials Corp. is a privately held rare earth exploration and process development company headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. With substantial mineral holdings in Montana and Idaho, the company is advancing a high-grade, domestically sourced supply of rare earth elements—including critical heavies such as dysprosium, terbium, and samarium—alongside gallium. These elements are essential to defense technologies, permanent magnets, and national security applications. USCM’s mission is to reduce U.S. reliance on foreign imports and establish a resilient, independent supply chain.

In partnership with Idaho National Laboratory (INL), USCM is developing a pilot-scale processing facility to refine ore from the Sheep Creek deposit, which contains both light and heavy rare earths. Under a Phase II CRADA, INL is providing technical leadership in advanced separation science to support clean, scalable extraction of rare earths and gallium. The facility will demonstrate environmentally responsible processing aligned with federal priorities and defense applications.
